Griff's Toffee Pound Cake

INGREDIENTS
- 1 box of your favorite pound cake box mix (with glaze)
- 1 box of Griff’s Pecan Toffee (7 oz)
- 1 egg
- ¾ cup water
- 10 Tbsp melted butter
INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the instructions on your box mix
- Roughly chop toffee with a sharp knife, or crush with rolling pin or rubber mallet.
- Follow the instructions on the box mix to make the cake batter: combine mix, water, egg, and butter in a bowl. Stir until mix is combined.
- Line the pan with parchment paper and spread half of the batter into the pan.
- Spread half of the chopped toffee onto batter. Then add the rest of the batter into the pan and cover the top with more of the chopped toffee.
- Set oven to 350°F. Bake at 350°F for 50-60 minutes* or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Allow pound cake to cool for 30 minutes.
- Coat 8 x 4 inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray
- Loosen edges with a knife before removing from the pan.
Glaze pound cake with glaze mix:
- Combine glaze mix and 1-1½ tablespoons water. Mix until smooth.
- Drizzle over cooled cake and allow to set before cutting.
